  • No, you don't need to an official "heritage designation" or historic property to use our services.

  • We focus on making the home safe, functional, organized, comfortable, and livable, rather than full gut-remodels. With that said, we are a licensed general contractor and can partner or coordinate more extensive work if needed.

  • Getting started with Heritage Home Revival is simple. Either call us at 360-828-1190 or fill out our quick quote form and someone will be in touch. We will schedule a free consultation/assessment of your home. We will discuss your goals and challenges, provide you with a proposed plan & quote, and once you approve, we will schedule the work and begin.

  • It depends on the size of the home, the scope of work, how much decluttering/downsizing is needed, and whether any repair or contractor work is involved. A straightforward organizing and decluttering job might take a few days; a larger project involving a home with repairs and or environmental modifications might take weeks.

  • Because older homes often have hidden issues, our initial assessment includes identifying potential red flags. If we encounter hazardous materials (like asbestos, lead paint) or structural defects, we'll inform you of the issue, recommend specialists (or coordinate them), and amend the plan/quote accordingly.

  • In many cases, you can remain living in the home. We aim to minimise disruption. However, depending on the scope (especially if there are major repairs or unsafe conditions), you might need to vacate temporarily or relocate certain rooms. We will discuss this in the planning phase.

  • Common exclusions: large-scale structural changes, extensive historic-restoration requiring special materials or craftsmanship beyond our scope, major additions/expansions, or full architectural redesigns.

  • We typically provide a detailed quote based on the assessment. It can be a fixed-price for certain work (e.g., decluttering/organising) and time-&-materials for more open-ended work (e.g., older-home repairs). Payment terms will be specified in the contract.

  • We include in your contract an allowance for contingencies (if applicable) and will notify you if additional work is needed beyond the agreed-scope. You will approve any additional charges before we proceed.

  • Yes. We are a licensed general contractor in Washington State, and we carry the required bond and public-liability insurance as per state regulations. (Older home work can be more complex, so it's important you're working with a properly licensed contractor.)

  • Yes, for any work that requires a permit, we will handle the permit application, inspections and ensure compliance. We will discuss permit fees and what's included in the scope.

  • We stand by our work and will include a warranty period for the services we perform. If an issue arises, contact us and we will inspect and fix as per the warranty terms.

  • We'll provide you with best-practices such as regular decluttering, annual check-ups, maintaining access and safe pathways, using storage systems suited to the home's character, and integrating any accessibility or mobility features with minimal impact.
